What are the terms and conditons of your Best Rate Guarantee?
- Claims will only be accepted if the dates of the stay, room type, rate plan, and policies are identical to the rate available on our site.
- Our Best Rate Guarantee applies to room rate only and does not include taxes, gratuities, resort fees, or any other charges that may be applicable to your stay and charged by any other site.
- Our Best Rate Guarantee does not apply to all-inclusive packages.
- If the competing rate is in a different currency than the rate available on our site, the competing rate will be converted to the same currency we have published (U.S. Dollars) using the exchange rate in place at the time of the initial reservation.
Santa Ynez Inn reserves the right to qualify any Best Rate Guarantee claim and whether it meets the terms and conditions outlined.
How can I submit a claim?
To submit a claim, please contact our front desk at 805.688.5588 or email us at email@example.com. Our staff will then verify that the rate is eligible for our Best Rate Guarantee.
What are your check-in / check-out times?
Our check-in time is 4:00 pm and Check-out time is 11:00 am.
Is early check-in available?
Early check-in requests may be made by calling 805.688.5588. Requests are always noted but are not guaranteed. Although, you may come by the inn prior to 4:00 pm and pick up your complimentary Wine Passport, to enjoy tastings while you wait to check-in.
Do you have breakfast included with your rooms?
Yes, we do offer a full, gourmet breakfast in our parlour from 7:00 – 10:00 am.
Is late check-out available?
For an extra fee, late check-out, after 11:00 am, is available. Please call 805.688.5588 to check availability.
What is your hotel’s Cancellation Policy?
Santa Ynez Inn holds to a 7-day cancellation policy. Reservations cancelled within the 7 days will be charged the amount of the first night's room rate.
What if I have a last minute emergency or an Act of God prevents me from honoring my reservation?
We understand that emergencies do arise and we ask that you call the hotel directly to discuss the situation.
What is the $25 resort fee for?
The daily resort fee covers parking, wi-fi, bottled water, and our Wine Passport, which includes complimentary tastings at over 20 wineries in the Santa Ynez Valley.
Do you take an additional authorization upon check-in?
Santa Ynez Inn does require $50.00/per day authorization in addition to the total reservation amount, to be taken upon check-in. This authorization is to cover any potential incidentals or damages in the room during your stay. If no incidentals are charged to the room, this authorization will be released.
How long until the authorization drops from my account?
Authorizations are released from the hotel at the time of check-out, however many banks will hold them up to 3-7 business days before releasing the authorization. Many banks do this to allow the business/merchant to collect the requested funds. We again advise to check with your specific bank about their Authorization rules.
What taxes or additional fees apply to my reservation?
In addition to your reservation room rate there is a daily resort fee of $25.00 and tax. There is also a 12% California Occupancy Tax and a $2.50 local city tax. Upon check-in we do require $50.00/per day authorization for your reservation. This is to cover the cost of any potential incidentals/damages to the room.
If I am due a refund, how long until I receive it in my account?
Refunds are processed right away in our system and can vary based on the type of payment that was received. Most US bank debit and credit cards should only take about 3 business days but could take up to 7 business days. Other forms of payment can take longer, including overseas banks or prepaid credit cards.. We advise that it is best to contact the specific bank of the card used.
Does Santa Ynez Inn have a restaurant?
Although we do serve a full breakfast, wine hour, and late tea & cookies in our parlour, the inn does not have a restaurant. Apart from our full breakfast, we currently do not have a restaurant available for dinner.
What if I have dietary restrictions?
Please notify us at least 72 hours in advance for any dietary restrictions you may have. This will provide our chef enough time to accommodate your needs.

How many guest rooms are there?
The inn has 20 guest rooms total.
Is there a gym?
Yes, there is a fitness suite located in a separate building featuring an elliptical trainer, treadmill, cybex cycle, and free weights.
Do you have on-site parking and is there a fee?
There is self-parking available along with Tesla charging stations. Parking fees are covered in the Resort Fee.
How many Tesla chargers are there at the Santa Ynez Inn?
The inn offers one Tesla charging station, up to 16kW. It is available for 24-hours a day and is for guest use only.
Can I have a package sent to the hotel?
Any packages can be mailed to our address: 3627 Sagunto Street, Santa Ynez, CA, 93460. Please be sure to note the name that is on your reservation clearly on the package. Packages can be sent via UPS or FedEx, as we do not receive mail from USPS.
Do you have a swimming pool?
We do not have a swimming pool; however we do have an outdoor hot tub. Many of our guest rooms also come with jetted whirlpool tubs.
Does the inn have ADA rooms?
The inn does have a Classic ADA room. We advise that you call our front desk to make sure we have availability for your dates before booking.
What size are your rooms?
All our rooms from the Classic up to the Premier Suite range between 500 – 700 square feet.
Does the inn have any smoking rooms?
Santa Ynez Inn is a 100% smoke free property and there is a $250.00 smoking fee for anyone smoking in the rooms.
Does Santa Ynez Inn have conference and banquet space available?
We do have event spaces available for conferences and banquets. To inquire about rates and availability please contact our Sales Manager at 805.688.5588.
What is your Pet Policy?
Santa Ynez Inn recognizes the growing need for pet-friendly accommodations and we strive to offer our guests and their pets a comfortable stay. We do have limited room availability for pets and ask that, when making your reservation, you call our front desk directly to check availability. We allow up to two domesticated dogs per room with a maximum weight of 20lbs and a one-time $75.00 pet cleaning fee due upon check-in. Service animals are always welcome. Does the inn offer massage services?
We do offer a variety of massage treatments in our newly remodeled spa, located on the lower-level of the inn. Please call 805.688.5588 to book a treatment.
Besides massages, does the inn offer any other spa treatments?
We only offer massage treatments at this time; please call 805.688.5588 for information on local full-service spas.
Can I have my massage in my room, instead of the treatment rooms?
For an addition fee of $40.00 per massage, you may have the massages in the comfort of your room.
Is there a local shuttle or taxi service available in the area?
Transportation services such as a local shuttle system, Uber and Uber Wine, as well as taxi services, is available in the Santa Ynez Valley. For assistance, our Concierge Service is more than happy to help.
Do you have a Lost & Found?
Anything lost or left behind will be taken to either our front desk or housekeeping department and held for a limited amount of time. Please contact the front desk at 805.688.5588 if you have lost something.
