The 19th of 21 California Missions, Old Mission Santa Inés was established by Franciscan priests in 1769. With its superb vistas and rich tradition, the Mission continues its role in the spiritual life of the Santa Ynez Valley as an active parish church. A taped audio tour guides visitors through the Museum rooms, church, and garden, all of which feature a beautiful collection of paintings, statues, manuscripts, and artifacts throughout. The Mission also hosts annual festivals that welcome both locals and visitors alike.
