  April - This annual festival celebrates the arrival of spring and a new vintage. • Santa Barbara Wine Country Half Marathon.

  May - Experience the beauty of the Santa Ynez Valley in the Santa Barbara Wine Country as you run through vineyards, fruit orchards, lavender farms, and horse ranches on your way to the finish line in the Danish village of Solvang. Starting in downtown Santa Ynez, this course takes runners through the town of Los Olivos and then on to scenic Ballard Canyon into Solvang. After the road race, runners celebrate and sample wines at the Wine & Music Festival in Solvang Park!

• Santa Barbara Uncorked.

  August - Held right before harvest, this annual event invites sommeliers and wine professionals to visit and taste wines from each of the appellations in order to gain a finer appreciation of the Santa Barbara Wine Region, its boutique wineries and its sublime wines.
